Keto Waffles Ingredients
I got my waffle maker for my birthday a few years back and didn't use it for a while as I couldn't imagine that there's a way to make gluten-free keto waffles with no flours. Here are the simple ingredients you'll need for delicious waffles:
- eggs
- cream cheese
- almond flour
- butter
- sweetener – Use your favorite low carb sweetener such as Erythritol, Swerve, Monk Fruit, or coconut sugar if paleo.
- Vanilla extract – Make sure to use plenty as it adds a nice flavor.
- baking powder
How To Make Crispy Keto Waffles
- Beat 4 eggs and vanilla extract with an electric mixer until frothy.
- Incorporate the cream cheese and continue mixing.
- Add the dry ingredients and mix until you get a smooth waffle batter. Let it rest for a few minutes.
- Meanwhile, heat your waffle maker and grease it well.
- Pour enough batter and cook according to your waffle maker instructions, for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown.
Waffles with Almond Flour Variations
This recipe is a classic one that can be customized in so many ways:
- sugar-free chocolate chips
- blueberry keto waffles
- toasted walnuts or almonds
- lemon zest
- chocolate powder
- coffee
- cinnamon
- pumpkin puree
Can I Make Coconut Flour Keto Waffles?
If you're wondering how to make nut-free keto waffles with coconut flour instead of almond flour, learn that it's possible.
In this recipe, the ratio of 1:4 (almond flour to coconut flour) works perfectly. This means you can replace almond flour with 1/4 cup of coconut flour. The instructions remain the same, and I recommend you let the batter rest for at least 5 minutes to allow the batter to thicken as the coconut flour soaks in the liquids.
How to Store Keto Waffles
This low carb waffle recipe makes about 6 waffles that are perfect to have on hand during the week. If you prefer to make more and store them, you can double or triple the ingredients.
To store these gluten-free waffles, let them cool and place them in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to one week.
They also freeze well, and I was surprised to see that they freezer-friendly. I pop them back into the waffle maker to get the best crispy keto waffles.

This recipe makes 6 waffles and the macros are calculated for one keto waffle. You can eat one or two depending on your goals.

Can you explain how you got your net carbs count?
My recipe wound up making 5 waffles as my maker is bigger so I used about 3/4 cup batter in each. I keep trying to figure net carbs and no way can I get a low count like you state.

I use myfitnesspal to calculate the macros. I input the ingredients and then divide by how many servings I have and they give me all the nutritional facts.

Please proofread and edit this recipe. You mentioned coconut cream in the instructions, but it's not listed as an option in the ingredients. You list melted butter and vanilla in the list of ingredients but nowhere in the instructions does it tell the reader when to add them in. I added them at the same time as the cream cheese, but only because the recipe offered no guidance. I have been systematically making keto waffle recipes from Pinterest and these are good waffles. I just think that you should correct the recipe with the full instructions for people who may not be that experienced in the kitchen. Again, the end result was tasty.

These are simply the best I have found — I think I could serve these to civilians and they'd not immediately identify them as keto, but simply as a really good waffle recipe. Thank you so much!

These are my favorite keto waffles. I LOVE lemon so I like to add the zest of one lemon 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice and a few drops of Sweet Leaf Lemon Drop flavoring. I dust my waffle after baking with a bit of Swerve powered sugar and top with a half tablespoon of blueberries. So yummy! I also use my mini dash waffle maker and get 12 waffles. For me and my diabetic keto journey one waffle from the mini dash is a perfect serving size. FYI blueberries are allowed but only in moderation especially if you are diabetic so be sure and measure/weigh the amount and never just guess

Excellent waffles. Made them for the first time today. Topped with a little more softened cream cheese and strawberries. My non-Keto husband ate some with syrup and loved them too. Thank you. ?

These were really good! Made them this morning with my mini waffle maker (used for the first time) so I was crossing my fingers. They turned out GREAT! With butter and sugar free Log Cabin (only 1 net carb for 1/4 cup) we were happy campers.

I have never fixed waffles before, so I bought a mini maker. This is my second go round, and they were just as good. The ingredients are perfect,( I use almond flour). AND my husband likes it also. Can you adjust for pancakes?

This is the BEST keto waffle recipe I have used! The texture is perfect. I did read another comment of letting the batter sit for a bit (using almond flour), so I let mine rest for about 10-15 min, perfectly fluffy + crispy. I was also worried these might taste "eggy", NOT AT ALL! Saving this recipe forever!!

The taste is GREAT, however, you said to pour the batter in and my batter was so think! I ended up adding some heavy cream in an attempt to liquify the batter a bit. Did I do something wrong?

I made these this morning for breakfast and I have to say I was a little disappointed with the texture…nice and fluffy (I used a Belgium waffle maker) but too soft and not at all crispy. I even tried putting them in the toaster but that didn't help. I saw one of the comments that says to let the batter sit for 30 minutes so I will try to see if that helps.
